Search and Destroy

Jack, James and Thomas have received their mission and are fulfilling it with perfection.  Our life centers around what someone got into, onto, or broke.  In fact, Wes calls James “destruct-o,”  simply because there are usually several things on any given day that he breaks that require Wes’ handy work to return to working order.  My need for order, organization, and cleanliness have never been more challenged.  I don’t see this changing any time soon.  We have three rambunctious boys to thank for entertaining stories and plenty of laughs to share.

For their 22 months-old blog, I am going to do something different.  I’ll let the pictures–in more live action this time—do the talking.

Thomas waiting by the door to the free world...always one to be on the go

James loves his hat, but can't seem to see out of it...don't let his sweet face and calm appearance fool you...I think he just dumped the dog food out.

An all-too-familiar scene: He's got it, I want it or He wants it, I have it.

Finally! I captured a great one of Jack...he is usually this content as long as nobody bothers him.

These next two pictures need a bit of an introduction.  Normally, all three boys go downstairs for breakfast together.  On this particular morning, they started down and then James and I needed to go back up for something.  Once I got back down, I was laughing hysterically to happen upon this scene. Thomas climbed into Wes’ chair and moved his plate there, as it would normally be to his right, across from Jack.  Jack moved his high chair out of the way and moved my chair from around the corner and into his normal spot.  Both Jack and Thomas were beaming about their accomplishment and refused to be moved.  This is also particularly funny to me because they normally just stand on the back of their highchairs, whine, and reach for food from their plates if they struggle to wait for their turn to be placed in their highchairs.  There was no fussing this time, just collaboration and laughter. And, it is just like Jack–who is very orderly–to want to eat from his precise place at the table, even if it was in a different chair.

Thomas would normally sit where his purple and blue cups are; Jack is in his right position, but he scooted the high chair over and brought mom's chair over instead

An elated Jack. James missed out this time, but he grabbed a turn later in the week.
